I have to say from a personal perspective HMRC is a true equal opportunities employer. There are a raft of support, fast track, mentoring and specific coaching groups within to help anyone progress. My own Team including line managers is 76/24 split Female/Male. Perhaps to illustrate the Line management Hierarchy in my Directorate is predominantly Female with a nurturing Culture for all regardless of any protected characteristic. I would advocate you ask at interview as anyone would happily share what we have to offer.
