I’m looking at the post graduate apprenticeship in tax. I just want to know what salary I would start (1st year as an apprentice) on as I am considering a career change.

This is not something I can advise you on. However you may find more info on the Civil Service Website https://www.civil-service-careers.gov.uk/hmrc-our-apprenticeships/

As stated depends if you are coming in at a Grade/Band O or other wise-check with job advert- it will state salary expectation and no harm in asking the Job Vacancy Holder of the expected progression.
