Thank you for your question and best of luck on your upcoming interview 🙂
My top tip would be when answering an interview question always keep in mind the STAR analogy and use this to structure your answer. Explain as follows Situation - describe the situation /event you were in, Task - what did you need to complete, Action - describe the actions you took to complete the task (focus on what you did 'I' not 'we'), Result - what was the results of your actions/benefits etc (mention figures, statistics etc)
Secondly, if you are going to be assessed against Civil Service Behaviours, look into what each behaviours means and includes, think about possible questions you could be asked around this behaviour. A common behaviour which is assessed on is 'Communicating and Influencing' - You would need to demonstrate both delivering a difficult message, or persuading people to do something by selling the benefits, explaining context, using a range of communication tools (not just running a meeting ) and remember a dialogue involves two people you need to listen as well as talk.
Lastly, do some research around the role and the team where possible. This shows your genuine interest in the role, prepare some relevant questions you might be able to ask demonstrating your knowledge. This could make you stand out from other candidates, really have a think about what makes you different what can you offer.
